Engaging Art: Akio Takamori

Artist Akio Takamori described the creative process, fabrication and installation of “The Three Women” - a collection of cast-aluminum and hand-painted sculptures depicting a girl, a young woman and mother with her baby - to an attentive audience, on March 26, 2012. The work is located on Westlake Avenue, near Denny Way, in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood. The talk was the kick-off event of Engaging Art, a quarterly series of presentations by local artists hosted by the Pan Pacific Hotel, located steps away from the sculpture.
