Seattle’s Affordable Art Fair Opens

The Seattle edition of the Affordable Art Fair opened on November 8, 2012, in the Exhibition Hall, at the Seattle Center. The Fair runs through November 11. Fifty exhibitors are showing works of art. Most are from the United States, but others are from as far away as Ecuador and Japan. Beautifully set-up for the event, I’ve never seen the Exhibition Hall look so appealing. I'll visit the Fair again and recommend that you take a look, as well.

Degenerate Art Ensemble Perform Underbelly

The Degenerate Art Ensemble performed "Underbelly" at the Seattle Center on October 5-6, 2012. I captured the following visual impressions on the second night:

Gob Squad at On The Boards

Gob Squad, a group of Berlin-based performance and video artists, presented "Gob Squad's Kitchen (You've Never Had It So Good)," at Seattle's On The Boards, in September, 2012.

Attending the September 28 performance without much knowledge of Gob Squad, I was surprised to find myself in the performance, having been asked by a regular cast member during the show to come on stage and equipped with a headphones and a mic. Several other audience members were also asked into the action.

I returned the next night with my camera during sound check for capture visual impressions of the set, underlying technology and cast:
