In a prior post, I mentioned that Seattle is a city of festivals. My good friend Mike Spaulding introduced me to the Seattle festival scene at the 1989 Bumbershoot Festival. Mike also warned many years ago that sooner or later someone was going to screw up the good vibe. Gunfire and injuries at last night’s Folklife Festival proved Mike prescient.
This afternoon, a warm Spring day, hopefully went a long way towards recapturing the good vibe:

Ooo La La! performs at First Thursday Art Walk
On May 1, 2008, Ooo La La! put on a public performance in downtown Seattle’s Occidental Park and Harbor Steps areas, coinciding with the First Thursday Gallery Walk. The performance was created by Lucia Neare, with support from Cathy Madden (theatrical direction) and Matt Goodrich (music direction). The images are from the Occidental Park portion of the extravaganza.
