Pacific Grove and Carmel

On the last day of this trip, before driving to the San Jose airport, we cruised around Pacific Grove, went to the beach at the foot of Ocean Avenue in Carmel, walked around Carmel and had a light lunch at the Hog’s Breath Inn.

Monterey Jazz Festival 2009 - Sunday Night

Closing night of the 2009 Monterey Jazz Festival presented a wide-range of outstanding jazz choices. I caught all or part of performances by (1) the Toshiko-Akiyoshi-Lew Tabackin Quartet; Joe Lovano’s Us Five; the Dave Brubeck Quartet; Jason Moran & the Bandwagon; and the Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White Trio.
