Pan: A Graphic Arts Time Capsule of Europe, 1895-1900 and
1900: Adornment for the Home and Body opened today at the
Frye Art Museum, in Seattle. Both exhibitions run through May 3, 2015. I attended a media preview for the shows on February 19. Frye director Jo-Anne Birnie Danzker described and led a walkthrough of each show. The objects in
1900 are from the collection of Wayne Dodge and Lawrence Kreisman, both of whom contributed remarks at the media preview.
Pan features graphic works of the era published in the journal
Pan.
