The Roots - 2014 Monterey Jazz Festival
The Roots performed at the 2014 Monterey Jazz Festival, on September 20. The band included: Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter - vocals; "Captain" Kirk Douglas - guitar; Kamal Gary and James Poyser - keyboards; Damon "Tuba Gooding Jr." Bryson - sousaphone; Mark Kelley - bass; Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson - drums; and Frank "Knuckles" Walker - percussion.
