Approaching its 100th anniversary, Seattle’s Lake Washington Ship Canal and Hiram M. Chittenden Locks were completed in 1917 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. These photos were taken on November 10, 2014, while visiting the facility with John Munnerlyn, a photographer colleague from California.

Love the photos. I want to know where the mermaid is. Ive been to the locks many times I've never seen it.
The mermaid is a detail from a boat - the Yankee Maid.
