Closing out performances on the Jimmy Lyons stage, at the 60th annual Monterey Jazz Festival, long time friends and jazz legends Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea delivered a masterful duo piano show.

Angélique Kidjo and Pedrito Martinez headlined a “Africa Mets Cuba,” a tribute to salsa, on the Jimmy Lyons stage at the 60th annual Monterey Jazz Festival.

Performers included: Angélique Kidjo (vocals); Pedrito Martinez (conga drums); Brian Beukelman (trumpet); Humberto Ruiz (trombone); Fabian Chavez (sax); Dominic James (guitar); Edgar Pantoja (piano, keyboards); Ben Zwerin (bass); Magatte Sow (drums); Jhair Sala and Edgardo “Yayo” Serka (percussion).

Common, the hip hop recording artist, actor, film producer and poet, performed a well-received set on the Jimmy Lyons stage, at the 60th annual Monterey Jazz Festival.

Performers included: Common (vocals); Anthony Khan (DJ); Johnnie Smith and Junius Bervine (keyboards); Clay Sears (guitar); Kevin Arthur (bass); Eric Greene (drums); Elena Pinderhughes (flute, background vocals); and Maimouna Youssef (background vocals).
