Columbia Gorge Road Trip - Day 1

Born and raised in Ontario and spending many of her adult years in British Columbia, Liis had never visited the Columbia River at the Oregon/Washington border. On September 22, 2010, we rented a car and drove toward The Dalles, OR, with several stops along the way, including Januik Winery/Novelty Hill Winery, Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery and a brief stopover at the Goldendale Observatory.

Hadley Caliman Memorial Service

A memorial service was held for jazz saxophone great and educator Hadley Caliman (1932-2010), on September 18, 2010, at the First Baptist Church, in Seattle.

Henry Art Gallery Open House

The Henry Art Gallery, a contemporary art museum on the University of Washington campus, in Seattle, held its Fall open house on October 1, 2010. Feature exhibitions included Image Transfer: Pictures in a Remix Culture and Panoptos by Sutton Beres Culler. The event featured live music, food and drink, and a variety of activities.
